PUTTING RESIDENTS FIRST!

About Me.
I am a patriotic military veteran, former medical professional, and experienced financial services executive with a long history of service to country and community. I'm a husband and father of two amazing kids. After moving frequently throughout a 22-year military career, my family selected Tega Cay to call home for its traditional values, strong sense of community, quality schools, and natural beauty.
As a member of City Council, I will prioritize public safety and financial sustainability, while also focusing on the preservation and revitalization of our beautiful parks and recreational resources. I will also ensure that any future growth enhances the unique charm of our city and best serves the needs of the community.

KEY ISSUES

Public Safety
Tega Cay was recently named the #1 place to live in South Carolina. This is largely due to its designation as one of the safest communities in the state. Support for our local police and fire departments is among the highest priorities to keep Tega Cay one of the best places to live in the Carolinas and beyond.

Responsible Growth
Tega Cay is experiencing inevitable expansion due to its close proximity to Charlotte and its vast appeal to newcomers. While it can be challenging to accept these changes, we have the opportunity to guide this growth thoughtfully and intentionally, preserving the town's unique character. We should pause new residential developments, focusing instead on opportunities for low-impact commercial growth that enhances our economic stability and offers more local entertainment and recreational options. By supporting small businesses, we can provide safe, community-focused choices that add to the unique charm of Tega Cay while easing the tax burden for our residents.

Financial Sustainability
Deliberative planning and responsible management of our budget and spending are crucial to the financial sustainability of Tega Cay. Everything we love about the city is dependent on our ability to fund essential services, repair and maintain our aging infrastructure, and revitalize our beautiful parks and recreational resources. We must act now to prioritize spending and generate revenue in ways that protect our financial future, yet preserve the charm, character and appeal that make Tega Cay the best place to live!

Parks & Recreation
Tega Cay is blessed with beautiful parks, walking trails, recreational facilities, and easy access to boating and water sports. Our city has done a wonderful job of building world class amenities for our residents, so our efforts should now focus on revitalizing and maintaining the beautiful resources we have before any future growth occurs.
